Project Assessment & Process

When it comes to building your dream project, we’re as ecstatic as you are! Our focus is on making sure the numbers add up to create a haven for you and yours, with financing options that ease the journey from blueprint to reality.

Our Process

  • Initial Contact

    Get in contact with us by filling out our contact form, calling 605-929-9419, or sending an email to brendan@youngsdesignremodel.com. From there, we’ll ask you to send us a few photos of the space you’d like remodeled. Once we’ve reviewed them, we’ll schedule a time that works best for you to have a 30-minute discovery call.

  • Discovery Call

    On the call, we walk through your vision while reviewing your photos together. More importantly, we take time to understand the why behind your remodel—what’s driving the change, what frustrations you're facing, and how you want to feel in your new space. Then, we’ll give you a realistic ballpark price based on your needs and our experience. If your goals, timeline, and budget align with what we do best, we’ll move into the design phase.

  • Project Assessment

    This is our first in-person visit. We’ll walk the space together, shake hands, and make sure there aren’t any surprises that couldn’t be seen in photos. We also perform a LiDAR scan of your space, which allows us to create incredibly accurate drawings for planning and pricing.

  • Preliminary Proposal

    Once we’ve created your drawings, we send them to our trusted subcontractors for pricing. We also include allowances for finish materials so we can build a detailed preliminary proposal. Then, we sit down with you to walk through every part of it together.

  • Selections / Design

    If the preliminary proposal feels right, we move into final selections. We’ll meet you at our vendor partners to choose finishes and fixtures, and bring our subcontractors on-site for any final walkthroughs. If you find it hard to visualize or pick out your selections, we can incorporate your choices into 3D renderings to help you see your space before it's built. We can also bring in our interior designer to assist you with selections and ensure everything flows beautifully. After this phase, we put together your final proposal—a clear, exact price for your project.

  • Pre-Project Planning

    Once the proposal is approved and the contract is signed, we begin scheduling our subcontractors and ordering materials. This step ensures everything is lined up, organized, and ready to go before any construction begins.

  • Construction Begins

    With all the pieces in place, we begin your remodel—fully planned, scheduled, and transparent. Throughout the project, we keep you informed and involved, ensuring your home turns out exactly how you envisioned it.
